This has been one crummy day. Thank God its coming to an end soon.
Had to spend the whole day doing something that was doing its best to test my patience.
Then coming home, a nice chap on a motorbike pointed out to me that my rear wheel was flat.
Fine, changing tires was not a problem. Only it started to rain halfway through.
When i finished and drove off, I realised I stepped on a huge lump of doggie doo.
Usually, I’m not perturbed by inconveniences like these. Unfortunately, today I woke up with a bad headache, and recurred throughout the whole day.
I think the day was irreversibly ruined early in the morning when we learnt that my wife’s best friend’s husband had passed away. After one week in coma.
She was my wife’s bridesmaid during our wedding.
They have a 2 year old daughter.
She is also 2 months pregnant.
The husband, whom I have only met once, was not yet a believer.
Unlike the Catholics, Protestants don’t believe in purgatory.
It’s times like these I really wished we did.

A wake up call to all of us …. Sometimes we tend to forget that we don’t live forever…

A gentle reminder: When you’re down, always count your blessings. You might discover that you are still so much luckier than some others.

That’s bad. The widow.
(the rest you can take a panadol)
I believe in purgatory. In fact, just talked about it with my kids last nite.

dunno what to say. my friend died when his stationary car was rammed by an idiotic youth from the back. his 3rd child was just born lest than a week. π
right now, just be there for your wife’s best friend. she needs to be strong for her 2yo daughter and unborn child. but right now, just let her cry.
may the compassion of our lord be with you.

At times like this, support from families and friends are very important…
My sincere condolences to the said family…

A death in any family is always unfortunate. But what has believing in purgatory got to do with it?
