Purgatory

This has been one crummy day. Thank God its coming to an end soon.

Had to spend the whole day doing something that was doing its best to test my patience.

Then coming home, a nice chap on a motorbike pointed out to me that my rear wheel was flat.

Fine, changing tires was not a problem. Only it started to rain halfway through.

When i finished and drove off, I realised I stepped on a huge lump of doggie doo.

Usually, I’m not perturbed by inconveniences like these. Unfortunately, today I woke up with a bad headache, and recurred throughout the whole day.

I think the day was irreversibly ruined early in the morning when we learnt that my wife’s best friend’s husband had passed away. After one week in coma.

She was my wife’s bridesmaid during our wedding.

They have a 2 year old daughter.

She is also 2 months pregnant.

The husband, whom I have only met once, was not yet a believer.

Unlike the Catholics, Protestants don’t believe in purgatory.

It’s times like these I really wished we did.
