Looking Down on the City
Published by simon on May 29, 2007I went to the Eye on Malaysia last week. I know, I know. Everyone else has already gone there.
But i took one day leave, sort of a break in the week, just to see what the fuss is all about. It seemed like only a short while ago that i was watching the launch of the event on New Year’s Eve.
On the whole it was okay, due to some issues, we got nine rounds on the giant ferris wheel, more than the usual.
Coincidentally, i found this report in the NST about how it has not been attracting the crowds as expected.
I suppose it’s good for a visit at least once, but for a better view, KL Tower and the Petronas Skybridge is better.

I’m not gonna even bother with this ferris wheel ride. Sure, I was curious at first, but not any more. Thanks for re-iterating that for me.
From pictures that i saw, it looks cool at night. Yet it still doesn’t encourage me enough to go visit it.
I haven’t been there myself. I suppose besides queuing up to ride on a gigantic ferris wheel, there’s nothing else to do around there?
wei i haven’t been yet la…must bring the kids…
dude, y’know, you can see a distant KL in an Awana Skyway gondola. Heh.
well, your ‘everyone else’ definitely didnt include me.. haha
hey, i haven’t been there too! although i live like 5 mins away … =.= but i heard the ride is kinda expensive, so i guess i won’t experience it anytime sooner
it’s not expensive, but i think the money can be spent elsewhere. Like KL Tower.
There were no crowds, so no lines. It’s probably more happening during the school holidays.
