Well, it’s over, [tag]Soul Patrol[/tag] beat out the [tag]McPheever[/tag] to become the fifth [tag]American Idol[/tag]. Not unexpected, though, a lot of people were predicting it to happen. Actually, for me the highlight of the show was them getting that Rhonetta back on air again…

- Americans are very politically correct voters. They want to give equal opportunity to the old and graying elderly generation.
- Some people mistook him for George Clooney with a bad case of mumps.
- Some of Katherine’s fans were temporarily blinded by the flashy, hideous purple jacket Taylor wore for the first song and keyed in Taylor’s voting number instead.
- Voting irregularities in Florida again.
- [tag]Simon Cowell[/tag] hates to be wrong. And I hear he’s pretty nifty with his fingers on his cellphone.

- A shocking number of Americans reported a sudden case of diabetes after the saccharinely sweet overdose of her singing (and therefore unable to vote for her).
- The viewers dislike people who repeat themselves. The viewers dislike people who repeat themselves…
- The male demographic was very disappointed there was no wardrobe malfunction again this time.
- Everytime she appeared on the stage, she made [tag]Paula Abdul[/tag] look really old. And I hear Paula’s pretty nifty with her fingers on her cellphone.
- People were afraid she’d turn into another Britney or Jessica Simpson…

LOL, I enjoyed the two hours show very much ‘cos I missed out all those quirky guys. I had beer shooting out of my NOSE watching that guy, the one who wanted to pee?

then again, although Taylor Hicks did won the American Idol but i bet he won’t be as famous as Kelly. i mean, look at Fantasia and Ruben! still, Katherine has the look and the voice. she’ll be successful in her own ways someday- without the AI crown.

the winning in american idol (and malaysian idol too of course) is based on popularity not talent so i guess both of them will do equally well as both are good singers.

The show itself was being dragged way too long with too many people having no business in the (can you say Prince) show making apperance.
