Our So-Not-Halal Anniversary Dinner
Published by simon on October 19, 2010Went for our 11th wedding anniversary dinner last Saturday. Since its October, i thought it’d be a good idea to do a Oktoberfest themed dinner. So we went to Munich Gastro Bierhaus at the new Palette @ IOI Boulevard.
Sorry didn’t bring camera out that night so i had to nick the photos from their website.
I had the honey-glazed pork knuckles (who goes to a german restaurant and NOT order knuckles?). Very nice and juicy, definitely better than Checkers.
My wife had the spare ribs, which were good too, and it came with a generous serving of vegetables.
Of course, we both had a pint of Hoegaarden each…
Overall the ambience and good here is great, and we’re probably not going back to Stadt anymore, since the price is the same anyway.
After dinner we tried Pacific Coffee, another place worth recommending. Great coffee and better yet, NO SERVICE TAX!!!
Wow…that’s a great find…a Gastro delight right in the heart of Puchong. And did you say Pacific Coffee???!!! That’s a chain from HK and they serve pretty fab coffee….heard a rumour that there was an outlet in Puchong and it’s true..
p.s. Happy Anniversary dude. 11 happy years is a big deal. Wish you and Wai Yin many many more happy married years to come
