Last week i paced faster and i dipped below 40mins.

  1. Pat Said,

Congrats! And welcome to the running club! :)

  2. Boone Said,

36 minutes will be very fast….

Oh, do bear in mind why your objective of running this…you go fast (36 mins) if you are running a race, but for training purposes, 40-42 mins is better cos you will gain the endurance without the exertion, meaning no pains or whatsover, and you can continue training so more the next day.

    Good luck!

  3. simon Said,

psyching my self for it today… does not when i slept past two this morning.

  4. Boone Said,

You slept past 2 this morning? It’s the Champions League Final at 3am?
Anyhow, I’ll be in Singapore this weekend for the biggest race of my life…the marathon. Peter will be running the ultra-marathon, that is 84km.

    Wish me luck!

  5. simon Said,

nope was reading a book, if i watched the game i would have slept past 5. good luck with the 42k!

  6. Boone Said,

Thanks! I’ll need that plus a whole lot more.
All the best for your 36 min 5-k too:)

  7. Pat Said,

Boone is right, don’t go too fast initially as you might get injurred or overstress your body. However, if you’re still feeling good despite the increase in pace, it might mean you are genetically advantaged, in which case, good for you! :)

The important thing is to feel good and to feel comfortable while doing the training run, then you know you are not going over your current limit.

Boone, all the best for 42K this Sat!
