Remember This…?

Published by simon on November 27, 2007

Let’s see if it is on this floppy…

C:/>dir

What..? 500 over files?! Okay, Ctrl+C and break it…

Let’s try this…

C:/>dir/w/p

Nope…nope…this is taking too long. Maybe it isn’t in this directory…

C:/>cd system

C:/>dir *.exe

File Not Found.

Nope, nothing either…

C:/>cd…

Oh wait i see it. I made it into an .bat file the last time.

C:/>autoexec

Here we go…

SIERRA ON-LINE presents…

.
KING’S QUEST

Okay, can’t remember if King’s Quest actually ran from a batch file or a boot up disk, but it’s not the point here… you can substitute it with any other game that you remember. Like Burgertime or Spy Hunter…

Ah, remembering the good old days of MS-DOS and the almighty dos prompt and cursor. Remember Lode Runner?!

yes i sure remember those dir. commands…. and lode runner? for sure yes!! my all time fav. game.

with the apple II green monitor, i used to play it everyday… for 2 or 3 hours. i played the first version of 100 levels until i finished all levels, then i played championship lode runner of 50 levels, until i finished all 50 levels. i got addicted to the game!! (good thing i had a book of ‘hints for winning the game’.)
