What Am I To Do With A Million Ringgit Lying Around…?

Got this from God’s Little Angel…

Actually, me and my pal Ray used to discussed this at length when we were back in college. Those were the days that we were young and bright-eyed, eager to stamp our mark in the world and make our first million before we reached forty… before the reality of hard work hit our faces on the first of work. Among other things.

But then again.

Fantasies aside, what would we do if we had a million ringgit (granted a million ringgit was worth more in those days, but what the heck…)?

Of course, ten percent goes to tithes, goes without saying.

After that, it’ll probably in this order…

1. Pay off car loan.

2. Gratuity to parents (this one long time no pay oredi…)

3. Children’s college fund (which at market rate, costs an arm and a leg).

4. Get a big 2nd car for the family (FORD ESCAPE!!! Specifically, a RED colored FORD ESCAPE!!!)

5. Go for one week holiday with friends and family to London, Paris and Ireland (that’s SO going to happen, right, Pat?!)

If there’s any money left, i’ll buy a lifetime’s supply of Pringles and Starbucks while i watch DVDs… But you know, i’ve come to the realization that i can achieve all the above through hard work, but it’ll take a lot longer and with more sweat. As they say, our dreams have to be beyond our reach… But even if after i tried my level best and yet fail, life goes on, money isn’t everything in the world. We will have to make do with what we have, and be thankful for it…

As i used to say all the time, life is a journey, not a destination.

I won’t tag anyone, but if the usual suspects want to try it, let me know, i wanna read about it.
