My pals were like totally worshipping her, with huge posters of her on our college dorm walls. She did this series of ads for Canon BubbleJet, and one of my pals even managed to swipe this life-sized cardboard cut-out of her holding the small printer…
Seriously, she wasn’t that great a singer (nothing compared to Anita Mui) but she looked really cute, and that’s probably the main reason the was so wildly popular back then. She also acted in a few forgetable films, you know those with more singers than actors appearing in them. One of them was Fruit Punch, which distinctively remember…
I remember later in the mid-90’s she suddenly disappeared off the Canada, but returned some years later for some concerts. Googling her up, there’s no shortage of stuff on her on the ‘Net!
I couldn’t find a clip of her singing my fav song, but here’s one of her from the peak of her popularity…

I know her! but then she suddenly went missing ler without goodbye summore. Probably married off to some rich guy and live happily ever after as a concubine lol. Anyway i went to sri petaling and tried the portugese egg tart! but aww I couldn’t taste anything so no different ler to me, is like eating plain bread only. =(

Vivian Chow… she was indeed super hot back in the 90’s. I heard something about her getting irritated by the loss of her privacy to the media and eventually grabbed her husband to disappear into Canada. Honestly, about every movie she made are indeed forgettable, and her songs were ehhhh…. but her looks is what made her famous. She also has a cute voice, not mousy, a very soothing feminine voice. I’ve always liked her movies when I was a kid…

yeah she migrated to canada but i often see her back in HK to record specials. My wife doesn’t think much of her ‘singing’ abilities, but she was very cute and popular.
