Yep I’ve been bitten by the Android fever since I got my new Samsung Galaxy S.

I briefly flirted with the idea of getting the iPhone 4, until i found out there’s a 2 month waiting to period to get one. Anyways now when i compare the Galaxy S side by side with an iPhone 4, I really have no regrets on my decision.

Having a smartphone (so how do I call all the other phones? Dumbphones?) is cool, but the thing that makes it all the much cooler are the apps. I’ve been testing lots of app these past few weeks (thanks to the pan mee shop near my office with free wifi) and these are the few I’ve come to use a lot.
Facebook for Android – first app i downloaded. Doesn’t come with my phone. Surprisingly, I haven’t used it much.
Hanping Chinese-English Dictionary – could be better, but this was the best one I could find. Someone told me i should check out the Google Translate app.
MSN Talk – coz some of my friends are there and my office Meebo is as reliable as Pos Malaysia.
MyFitnessPal – One of the coolest apps for me personally. Has kept me on my strict diet and exercise regime, plus it nifty trick that uses the barcode scanner feature to record nutrition info of products.
Google Sky Map – one word: COOL. Never get tired of playing with it whenever I’m outdoors at night. Which isn’t often actually.
FotMob Soccer Scores – all important app for when you’re stuck in a wedding dinner on a Saturday night.
WikiDroid – gets pretty slow at times. Not sure if its becoz of the browser, app or my connection.
I’ve also downloaded iTriage, Convertpad and Dolphin Mini, but haven’t really tested them out yet. Also, Dictionary.com is slow! Does anyone know of a faster app?
Next – Games!
